A couple of weeks ago we hosted our education meeting at the Chinatown Library to organize against CPS’s proposed $450,000 budget cut to our beloved Haines School!
Teachers, parents, and community members attended the meeting to speak about school budget cuts, inadequate translation in classrooms, lack of job protections, and much more. We were happy to provide a space for our immigrant parents to vocalize their opinions about education inequities in their own language.
